Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
1. Who we are
Serious Traffic Media ("Serious Traffic", "we", "us") operates an advertising network that connects advertisers with publishers. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have. It covers our clients (advertisers and publishers) and the end users who see ads served through our network.
2. Data we collect
Clients. When you apply for or use an account we process your name, company name, email address, login details, messaging handles you share with us, billing and payout details, and your activity in the dashboard. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers; we only receive the information needed to confirm and reconcile payments.
End users. When an ad is requested or shown through our network we process technical data such as IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, the page or app where the ad appeared, timestamps, and interactions such as impressions, clicks and conversions. We may use cookies or similar identifiers to limit how often an ad is shown and to detect fraud.
Website visitors. When you visit serioustraffic.com our servers log standard technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and operation.
3. Why we use it
- To provide, bill and pay out for the Services and manage client accounts.
- To deliver ads, apply targeting, cap frequency and report results.
- To detect and prevent bots, fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To communicate with clients about their account, the Services and changes to our terms.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract (client accounts), our legitimate interests (ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and security), legal obligations (accounting and tax) and, where required by law, consent (for example for certain cookies or similar technologies, collected through the publisher's site).
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who host, secure or support our platform and process payments, under contracts that protect the data.
- Advertisers and publishers, in the form of aggregated statistics and the minimum event data needed for conversion tracking.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights, users or the network.
- A buyer or successor if our business is reorganized or sold.
6. International transfers
Our servers and providers may be located outside your country. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. Retention
Raw ad-serving logs are kept for a limited period needed for reporting, billing and fraud checks, after which they are deleted or aggregated. Client account data is kept while the account is active and afterwards as long as required for legal, tax and dispute purposes.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure, so please tell us at once if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email info@serioustraffic.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Our Services are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top.
